On 16th June 2018 it is due again. The most famous long distance race, the 24 hours of Le Mans, will be started. 50 years ago the Ford GT 40 of the John-Wyer-Automotive racing team won the race and thus, based the fame of the GULF-racing long distance sports. More victories in Le Mans followed as well as in the long distance championships with the racing sports‘ icons Ford GT 40 and Porsche 917.
The colours of the GULF racing team were established and are well known until today to all petrolheads and friends of this motor sport.
Also this year the GULF racing team will participate. In the GTE-AM class, a lightblue Porsche 991 RSR GTE of the GULF racing team will start. The pilots will face this unusual test of strength.
This year, they will be supported by us as well. GULF-Eyewear provided high class sunglasses to Mike Wainwright, Alex Davison and Ben Barker for the hopefully sunny racing days in France.
Now keep your fingers crossed for a successful race and a great result on 17th June in Le Mans.
