Outstanding sunglasses need prominent names.
Lorenzo reminds of the Italian racer Lorenzo Bandini (* 21st December 1935 in Barce, Libya; † 10th May 1967 in Monte Carlo).
In his Ferrari 250P he drove for the overall victory of the 24 hours of Le Mans 1963. His most successful season was 1964, next to the patron driver of the Ferrari Formula 1 team – John Surtees. Bandini added decisive 23 World Cup points to the constructors‘ world cup of the Maranello team. In August he won the Grand Prix in Austria on the airport course of Zeltweg. 1967 was held to be THE year for Bandini in Formula 1 – regrettably it ended in the 82nd round of the Grand Prix in Monaco with an accident inexplicable until today. We wish to commemorate this fast Italian with one of our sunglasses‘ models.
This exclusive style was cut from a solid stainless steel plate. Using this technology, we achieve a significant reduction of weight and thus, increase the wearing comfort. With exception of the endpieces, there are no further soldering points and the frame is very stable. Spring hinges provide comfort and secure fitting. The temples made in Italy – although made of true Carbonfibre – are adjustable in the rear area. Also on this model, we poured in our love for motorsport. Colour inlays on the front and temples are an additional interesting detail of LORENZO.
The distinctive lens shape of this modern pilot frame adds to this model a South European – even an Italian character.
