During the AVD-Oldtimer-Grand-Prix from 10th to 12th August 2018 on the Grand Prix racing course Nuerburgring, we had the chance for a very special meeting.

We had a date with Number 12. The original JWA GULF racing Porsche 917 K owned by Claudio Roddaro, who enriched this event with this fantastic car. Mr. Roddaro was so kind as to allow us a private photoshooting with his race car and he also found time for an interesting chat.

Claudio Roddaro is positively “mad“ about the 917 as he owns a further Porsche 917 with the chassis number 037. He could have been on the move for this event in this car as it is approved to be driven in regular street traffic.

During this event, our GULF sunglasses‘ collection was offered by our partner “Historic World“ on the ring boulevard.

We were excited by the AVD-Oldtimer-Grand-Prix and the audience there and are now thinking about a presentation with our own booth next year. New sunglasses‘ styles are under development already.

At the moment, we are preparing the optical show SILMO in Paris that we will be attending as exhibitor from 28th September to 01st October 2018.

August auf der Grand Prix Rennstrecke des Nürburgrings stattfand, kam zu einer für uns ganz besonderen Begegnung.Wir hatten ein Date mit der Nummer 12. Dem originalen JWA GULF-Racing Porsche 917 K aus dem Besitz von Claudio Roddaro, der die Veranstaltung mit diesem fantastischen Fahrzeug bereicherte. Herr Roddaro war so nett und gewährte uns ein Fotoshooting mit seinem Rennwagen und fand Zeit für ein interessantes Gespräch.

Claudio Roddaro ist im positiven Sinne “917 verrückt”, denn er besitzt einen weiteren Porsche 917 mit der Chassis-Nummer 037. Mit diesem Fahrzeug hätte er sogar auf eigener Achse anreisen können, da es straßenzugelassen ist.

Die GULF-Eyewear Kollektion wurde während der Veranstaltung von unserem Partner “Historic World” am Ringboulevard angeboten.

Wir waren vom AVD-Oldtimer-Grand-Prix und dem Publikum begeistert und überlegen, ob wir uns im nächsten Jahr dort mit einem eigenen Stand präsentieren sollten. Die neuen Fassungen befinden sich bereits in der Entwicklung.

Derzeit bereiten wir uns auf die Optikmesse SILMO in Paris vor, auf der wir in der Zeit vom 28. September bis zum 1. Oktober 2018 mit einem Stand vertreten sein werden.
